Making a Difference in Our Community!
In order to serve existing clients more efficiently and to increase the overall amount of individuals & families we can serve in our community, Agape Center Lynchburg is beginning a CAPITAL CAMPAIGN to raise the funds necessary to purchase our own larger building. Our goal is $250,000. We realize that's pretty ambitious, but we know God can do it. We are confident that He is preparing us for this transition. We have a building in mind, but are prayerfully waiting on His perfect timing and provision. Please consider being a part of this vision.
There are two ways you can donate to this fund:
1. Send a check to:
Agape Center Lynchburg
PO Box 10711

*Please write "Capital Campaign" on the memo line.
2. Donate online through our PayPal account.
*Agape Center Lynchburg is a 501(c)3 non-profit. Your contribution is tax-deductible.
Did You Know?...
What God has been doing through AgapeLYH with the support of our donors and volunteers.....
Yet another story from the book of "Look What God Has Done!"..... Last week, a first time client shared with her mentor that she desperately needed a dining table and chairs, but when the request form found it's way into my hands, I knew we didn't have any in our warehouse. We were all out and I had to tell her that she would have to wait and ask again next month.
Meanwhile, God had to be chuckling.
Right after I gave her the bad news, I happened to run out to our donations intake area to see how things were going with volunteers out there. One of them said "Hey, I've been meaning to tell you that a friend randomly dropped off a dining table and chairs at my house last night to donate here today. It's in the back of my SUV." My jaw dropped and I started laughing. I explained what had just happened, then we all laughed and thanked God for his amazing (and timely) provision!
Needless to say, our client was elated to be able to get a table and chairs for her family and was grateful for this blessing.

Two little toy trucks. Nothing fancy. Nothing exciting to the average passerby. BUT GOD…saw fit to use these two seemingly insignificant items to bless a mama’s heart to the fullest.
Tuesday, a sweet client quietly and almost in tears, asked her mentor if she could get a toy truck for her son. You see, he loves to play with trucks, but she can’t afford to buy him toys right now. This mama so badly wanted to give her son what he dreamed of. Her mentor explained that we generally don’t have a lot of toys (they often sit untaken for months, so we don’t ask for or keep many of them on hand), but they could pray about it…
When it was her time to begin shopping, she went directly to the children’s clothing room. And there sat these two little trucks. She cried, because they were perfect for his age and his size, and once again, we saw the goodness of God.
